When you train with MPI, your goals are our goals. Many fitness clubs and trainers use boilerplate routines, we don't. Every client is different and deserves an exercise plan tailored to their specific needs.

Personal training is a one-on-one service that allows for individualized fitness programs. Through personal training you will learn how to appropriately use equipment, learn proper form and breathing techniques in order to gain the most from your workout and to prevent injuries. Personal training allows for personalized attention to help guide and motivate you to succeed at attaining your fitness goals.

At MPI we believe that everybody needs a trainer for optimum results. We don't use long term contracts, initiation fees, or EFT'S (Electronic Funds Transfer). You simply purchase your package at the start of each month, and stop when you wish.

MPI Personal Training is currently providing services at Per-Fit bodies a private studio located on the N.W. corner of the 101 and Baseline Rd. You will find a clean private studio with all the needed equipment, a changing room with a shower and towel service for your convenience.

After spending the last 8 plus years working in a corporate run gym, I never liked the idea of high-pressure sales or quota driven training. I have always been a low-key guy who treats everyone equally and with respect. I distinguish myself from the traditional trainer by providing more than a simple training session. I take a personal interest in the goals and progress of each individual client to ensure that the results he or she is seeking are achieved in the shortest possible time. My integrated approach to fitness aims to improve not only the physical conditioning of my clients, but their overall quality of life.

Tips from
   Living in the desert there is nothing more important then water. Water is the most important nutrient to the body; it is used everywhere in the body. From the regulation of body temperature to how our bodies function at the cellular level, water is the vital element. But how much water does a person need to drink? For the average person ˝ oz. per pound of body weight will be enough. So if you are a 200lb. Male you should drink approximately 100oz of water a day. That's equivalent to 5-20oz bottles.

   Avoid soda. These products provide nothing but empty calories. Coke and Pepsi each contain 100 calories for every 8oz. So those 20oz bottles contain 2.5 servings each. That equals 250 unneeded calories. So drink water or tea instead.

   Things to look for when hiring a personal trainer. Nationally recognized certifications are a good place to start. It shows you that your trainer has the intrinsic knowledge set forth by standards. A degree in the fitness field indicates your trainer has acquired interactive skills and is dedicated to the fitness profession. Years in the training industry will indicate to you the level of personal competence and experience. That experience can provide you with a trainer who can adapt to your needs and explain training concepts. When you understand why you are doing an exercise, you enjoy it more!

I've been a member of Mountainside Fitness the past four years. This past fall, I started seeing Davey at his studio twice a week.
